Golden Retriever Lifetime Study team members earn “Gold Medal” in fundraising
On June 28, nearly 40 Golden Retriever Lifetime Study Team members from across the country “virtually” joined together to participate in Morris Animal Foundation’s second annual Unite to Fight Pet Cancer Virtual Walk.
“We know our Golden Retriever Lifetime Study participants are passionate about finding ways to fight cancer,” said Kate O’Brien, director of events, Morris Animal Foundation. “I am grateful not only for their participation in the study but also for their support of other Morris Animal Foundation events like the Virtual Walk.”
The Golden Retriever Lifetime Study Team was the top fundraising team overall, with current donations topping out over $12,000, easily surpassing the team’s goal of $10,000. Team leaders and their goldens were: Jennifer McFarling and Reser, Beth Bernstein and Journey, Sherri Rosedahl with Bailey and Madison, Leigh Collins with Sammie and Sophie, and Valerie Robson and Astro.
The Golden Retriever Lifetime Study Team also had two of the top four individual fundraisers overall: Beth Bernstein ($1,645), and Jennifer McFarling ($1,634).
The Volunteer Leadership Team, comprised of Beth Bernstein, Leigh Collins, Valerie Robson and Shari Walliker, raised $4,000 toward the team total – way to go! It’s not too late to donate to the Unite to Fight Pet Cancer Campaign. Make your contribution and help fight pet cancer today!
