Let’s Give Them Something to Woof, I Mean Meow About!
With summer right around the corner, many of us are prepping our gardens, planning a much needed vacation or thinking about finally enjoying a meal off the grill.
Each season brings something new to look forward to, but one thing that never changes with the season is our love for our pets. For many of us, pets are our first babies, our running buddies and our mood lifters. In many cases, they are also cancer survivors.
Although you care for your pets each and every day, you can give them an extra dose of love this summer by participating in Morris Animal Foundation’s Unite to Fight Virtual Pet Cancer Walk on June 22. Participating in this virtual event is a way to honor pets that have fought cancer, memorialize those who have lost their battles and look toward a brighter tomorrow for your current companion.
Every pet deserves a long, healthy life. Unfortunately, this isn’t reality. Cancer ends the lives of more dogs and cats than any other disease. Nearly 6 million new cat cancer diagnoses are made each year, and cancer is the leading cause of death in dogs. By participating in and fundraising for the Unite to Fight Virtual Pet Cancer Walk, you can help increase Morris Animal Foundation’s ability to invest in science that will help us understand cancer in animals.
To sign up, simply visit UnitetoFight.MorrisAnimalFoundation.org! All participants will receive a free Unite to Fight car decal and as well as campaign bandana for their pet.
