We’re heading to Austin for AAHA
Members of the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study team will be on hand to participate in the fun and excitement at the American Animal Hospital Association Conference, held in Austin, Texas, March 31–April 3. The conference draws veterinary professionals from across the country.
With so many of our Golden Retriever Lifetime study participating veterinarians working at AAHA-recognized clinics, we’ll be greeting old friends and educating other veterinarians about the scope and goals of the study.
Our own study veterinary epidemiologist, Missy Simpson, DVM, PhD, will be presenting, “Overview & Analysis: Updates from the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study,” on Thursday, March 31, 8-9:40 a.m.
Dr. Simpson’s presentation will include data and analyses collected from our participating veterinarians and owners, as well as our contracted clinical pathology laboratory. Dr. Simpson will present data on the four main study outcomes (osteosarcoma, lymphoma, hemangiosarcoma, and mast cell tumors), as well as preventive care statistics, and health indicators based on the regions where study dogs reside.
The study team will host a Yappy Hour event to celebrate Golden Retriever Lifetime Study veterinary professionals, owners and supporters. If you are in the area, please plan to join us on Friday, April 1, at Champions Sports Bar & Grill (300 East 4th Street Austin, Texas) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!
