Golden Retriever Lifetime Study Update v16-3

Coming Soon:

user improvements to laboratory reports

By Kelly Diehl, DVM, Scientific Writer and Researcher

The Golden Retriever Lifetime Study is excited to announce updates to the online laboratory results section of the study website. Veterinarians can now view, download and even electronically share results with their clients. Laboratory results for all study patients appear on the respective patient’s online record in a more user-friendly table format.

Owners now have access to laboratory findings. Once authorized by their veterinarian, an email message notifies owners that results have been uploaded to the “Lab Results” tab of their dog’s record. The study team always suggests consulting with your veterinarian to help interpret laboratory results.

Results from Antech Diagnostics provide valuable information about each hero dog’s health. Every annual examination provides blood chemistry analysis (SuperChem), complete blood cell count, urinalysis, fecal analysis (ova and parasite), total thyroid test (T4), and

heartworm antigen test. Biopsy results also can be found in the same section of the website.

We hope these updates offer our study participants more user-friendly access to valuable health information. As always, the study team is here to help. If you have any questions please contact us at grdogs@caninelifetimehealth.org or 855.4GR.DOGS (855.447.3647).

Thank you to our laboratory partner, VCA Inc. (Antech Diagnostics), for their support of the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study.
